Los Angeles Middle School Students and Teachers!
The Earth We ShareTM—Space Race is taking learning science to whole new level – outer space!
From exploring the Earth from space, our solar system or far away galaxies,
TEWS – Space RaceTM
wants you to help solve problems and discover how
technologies and science that take us to the
stars can be used to improve
quality of life here on our home planet.
In 1994, Dr. Mae Jemison developed The Earth We Share international camp programs that have been held across
the US and internationally. Collaborating with the Los Angeles Unified School District, TEWS-Space Race is winner of a
NASA Summer of Innovation award. This partnership gives students a unique chance to open their minds, hearts, and
eyes to their own talent, and to the entire field of aviation, aerospace, space flight and exploration careers.
Join Dr. Mae Jemison—former astronaut, doctor, engineer and educator;
NASA scientists and engineers; and others from the world of space exploration,
aeronautics and STEM education!
